The Wedding of Lily and John

St. Mary's Catholic Church and The Driskill Hotel

May 30, 2009

Two words come to mind when I think about this wedding: sophistication and love. This couple wanted non-stop elegance and that’s exactly what they got. Every detail was considered and it showed when you walked into the room.

The bride wore a beautiful princess gown for the ceremony, and then changed into a sleek, sexy mermaid cut dress for the reception.

Lily and John were both avid journal writers, and so they gave their guests a beautiful white linen hard bound journal as their favors which also served as their escort card.

The white triple-pintuck linens were simple but refined and the alternating tall and midsized all white floral décor was breathtaking. Cocktail hour had splashes of bright green and pinks with a hint of silver throughout the room. Hotel guests were greeted with a bottle of French champagne to signify the groom proposing to his bride in Paris.

Guests dined on a delicious four course feast of gluten-free decadence. The cascade of cupcakes in the room was magnificent and fun.

Guests were entertained with a DJ and a professional video of the bride and groom growing up and during their courtship. Later, the full 12-piece jazz orchestra kept guests on the dance floor all night. It was a fabulous night for John + Lily and all in attendance.
