The Wedding of Katya and Eric

AND MUSIC PLAYS ON….

Katya and Eric are a comedic tag team. We were in stitches the entire planning process. Katya and Eric shared a passion for and love of chocolate (the color and the treat!) and hence our wedding theme!

The shades and hues of chocolate inspired the décor, flowers and apparel. Down to the groom wearing chocolate colored Converse and a matching suit. The beautiful sunset ceremony, which took place in the ampitheatre was simply beautiful as the wedding party processed in to an acoustic guitar version of “Pride” by U2 and the bride processed in to “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles. The custom made bamboo chuppah was beautifully adorned with flowers and a family prayer shawl made in Israel.

Can we talk about their love of music, cultures and family? Katya and Eric had mariachis playing during their pre-ceremony cocktail hour to set the tone for the rest of the event. The tables were dressed with beautiful ikebana inspired floral décor – which included unique shapes, dimension and colors completely reflective of the couples love for the asian floral design technique. Guests were welcomed with an individual flower at each place setting. The couple had a tremendous live band entertaining their guests throughout the night –the HORAH was over the top and AWESOME but get this – they also had a second latin music band to play an authentic salsa and meringue set. The dance floor was packed all night long.

To top off the evening – Katya and Eric exited out of the beautiful villa led by a the horn section of the band – playing a jazzy, new Orleans style march to an antique “latte” colored convertible 69’ Camaro….which jammed on the way out to their favorite tune – WOW, what a night!
